Professional preparation for higher level basketball
GBA, Central Europe´s premier private international basketball academy, based in Jindřichův Hradec. We’re dedicated to unlocking each player’s full basketball potential through expertly designed training programs. Our mission is simple yet ambitious: to provide individualized development that opens doors for players to either secure professional contracts or earn full scholarships to American universities. Each season, GBA athletes engage in an intensive skill development regimen, tailored strength and conditioning plans, and compete in both Czech and international leagues, including an exclusive USA tour. Beyond training, we offer players invaluable exposure to evaluations from NBA scouts, U.S. college coaches, and global basketball experts, preparing them to excel on the world stage. At GBA, we’re shaping more than athletes; we’re opening doors to lifelong success.
Founded in 2013 in Prague, Czech Republic, Get Better Academy (GBA) has one clear mission: to develop each player individually, aligning their training with personal goals to unlock opportunities for signing professional contracts or earning full scholarships to American universities.
Over the years, GBA has become a sought-after hub for basketball talent across Europe and beyond. National team players from countries such as Serbia, Spain, Latvia, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Estonia, Ireland, the Bahamas, Israel, and Poland have joined GBA, all driven by the vision of reaching their basketball potential. In 2019, GBA joined forces with the professional club Basket Jindřichův Hradec, creating a fully professional environment where players can excel and launch their careers to the highest levels of the sport.
